Holy Trinity Church, Thrussington, is a Grade II* listed church located in the centre of a conservation village in Leicestershire. The churchyard includes historic memorials, grassed areas, paths and mature trees with an extension area used for more recent burials. The grounds form an important local green space and wildlife refuge as well as a place of remembrance.
As part of The National Lottery Heritage Fund supported ‘Tower Relaunch 2027’ project, the Parochial Church Council (PCC) wishes to learn more about the wildlife and habitats present within the church yard. The information will be used to inform the management of the churchyard for both wildlife and people, provide content for a nature trail and contribute towards initiatives such as Churches Count on Nature.
