Description
About 3mm in length, very rounded like a very small black ladybird. The legs are paler than the almost black body and the first segments of the antennae are pale.

Reed fringed pools and marshes.
When to see it
Peak time is June to September.
UK Status
Widespread in the southern half of Britain.
VC55 Status
Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland.
