Ramalina lacera

A pale grey-green or blue-green lichen. Solid thallus with one or more ragged, flattened, +/- solid lobes, the cortex often peeling. Surface and edges of lobes sorediate, same colour both sides, apothecia unknown.

Nutrient-rich bark, also frequent on sheltered coastal walls and rocks.

All year round.

Often coastal in Britain with strongholds along the south coast and in East Anglia.

Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
