Pellitory-of-the-Wall - Parietaria judaica
Short to medium much branched herb with spreading stems. Leaves alternate, elliptical, untoothed and short stalked to 5 cm. Flowers small, greenish with yellow stamens in clusters at base of leaves, each four parted.
Walls, hedgebanks and stony places on well drained soil.
June to October.
Perennial.
Widespread in England, mainly coastal in Wales and scarce in Scotland.
Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland. In the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire it was found in 56 of the 617 tetrads.

Pellitory-of-the-wall Aphid (Aphis parietariae) are dark green aphids with some wax; associated with Pellitory-of-the-Wall.
Agromyza anthracina
The larva of the Agromyzid fly Agromyza anthracina mines the leaves of Common Nettle and other related host plants including Parietaria species. The mine usually starts away from the leaf edge and has a coiled intestine like start; it has frass in long threads in the broader part of the mine.
