Melanagromyza angeliciphaga
Melanagromyza angeliciphaga is an internal stem borer. It is very difficult to identify from the adult fly but can be identified by examination of the pale yellow puparium within the stem of the host plant.
See the National Agromyzidae Recording Scheme website for further details of the puparium, and other information about this species.

Unless identified by a recognised expert, the puparium should be examined under a microscope and the identifying features shown clearly in the photographs submitted. The host plant must be specified.
