Enoplognatha thoracica

Description

Length 3-4mm. A brown, easily over-looked spider which can be mistaken for a large Linyphiid.

Unless identified by a recognised expert, a photo is required and the specimen should be examined with a microscope.  Confirmation of this species requires examination of the genitalia of mature specimens.

Habitat

Usually found at ground level under stones and other debris.

When to see it

Summer-Autumn.
