Blue Passionflower - Passiflora caerulea
A vigorous, tendril vine growing to 10 metres or more, producing large white flowers with central filaments of purple, blue and white followed by orange-yellow fruit. The leaves are deeply lobed, dark green and glossy.
Usually occurs as an escape from cultivation.
Flowering from July to September, followed by egg-shaped, orange-yellow fruit.
Deciduous or semi-evergreen.
Occasionally recorded as an escape from cultivation in Britain.
Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
