Trigonocranus emmeae

A small lacehopper (c. 4mm)  with 3 keels on the scutellum.   Macropterous adults are brownish and have transparent wings with an indistinct darker bar at the lower rear edge, and fine spots along veins; brachypterous individuals live in the soil and are without pigment, and have reduced eyes.  The winged adults emerge from the substrate to disperse. 

Other lacehoppers found in VC55 (Cixius and Tachycixius) are similar, but larger, and often with spottted or pigmented wings.

Rare.  The 2024 record from Snibston is the only known record for VC55.  It is possibly overlooked.
