A small leafhopper with raised ridges on the face forming an x-shape on the vertex.  The forewings are covered in small lumps or tubercles, and the hind wings are short - about half the size of forewings.  The male has dark markings on the head, pronotum and frons. Females are lighter. 

Megophthalmus scanicus has ridged, not tuberculate forewings, and longer hindwings

Detailed examination of forewings and hindwings, or male aedeagus/style, is needed
