The Rustic - Hoplodrina blanda
Wingspan 31-35 mm. Very similar to The Uncertain, but is generally less yellowish brown and glossier in appearance.
Found in various habitats.
Flying from June to August, sometimes there is a second generation in the south in October.
Foodplants are a variety of low plants.
Common throughout much of England and Wales, but less so in Scotland. In a recent survey to determine the status of all macro moths in Britain this species was classified as common.
Fairly common in Leicestershire & Rutland. L&R Moth Group status = A (common and resident)
